Dubai Ground Handling: dnata, Jetex, ExecuJet MEA and DC Aviation Compared

A side-by-side comparison of the four major Dubai handlers — pricing band, FBO terminal quality, fuel pricing posture, and where each is strongest.
Dubai is two airports and four handlers
Dubai has two airports that matter for business aviation. OMDB (DXB) is a commercial-traffic giant where general aviation gets squeezed into limited parking; dnata handles most GA movements there. OMDW (DWC) is the purpose-built business aviation hub — three FBOs of genuinely international standard: Jetex, ExecuJet MEA, and DC Aviation Al-Futtaim. This guide is the working comparison the LFS handling desk uses.
At a glance
| Handler | Airport | Strength | Pricing band |
|---|---|---|---|
| dnata | OMDB | Scale, customs speed | Mid |
| Jetex | OMDW | Brand, lounges, fleet support | Premium |
| ExecuJet MEA | OMDW | Aircraft management synergies | Premium |
| DC Aviation Al-Futtaim | OMDW | Maintenance, hangarage | Premium |
dnata (OMDB)
The default GA handler at OMDB. Strong on customs and immigration coordination given they handle everything at the airport, weaker on FBO experience — passengers funnel through commercial terminals unless arranged specifically. Pricing is the most competitive in Dubai. Best for: short turnarounds, drop-and-go, cargo trips.
Jetex (OMDW)
The flagship FBO operator at OMDW. Best-in-class passenger experience, dedicated VIP terminal, on-site customs, large covered ramp. Premium pricing reflects the product. Best for: VVIP, head-of-state, marquee charter.
ExecuJet MEA (OMDW)
Long-established operator with strong synergies for owners using ExecuJet for aircraft management. Comparable FBO product to Jetex with slightly more aircraft-focused services. Best for: managed-aircraft operators, complex maintenance overlap.
DC Aviation Al-Futtaim (OMDW)
Joint venture with strong maintenance and hangarage capability. Slightly smaller FBO footprint but excellent for operators needing technical work alongside the trip. Best for: maintenance-adjacent operations, long stays.
How LFS picks
We don't default to a single handler. For every Dubai trip we run a brief request against all four (or all three at OMDW) and pick based on parking availability, slot fit, and the specific service mix. For repeat operators we usually settle on a primary based on the loyalty programme and price posture.
Operator FAQs
Which Dubai airport is better for business aviation?
OMDW (Al Maktoum) is purpose-built for business aviation and is the default recommendation. OMDB (DXB) is acceptable for short stays and drop-and-go, but parking is tight and the FBO experience is weaker.
How much does Dubai handling cost?
Indicative ranges: dnata at OMDB USD 1,500–3,500 per movement for typical business jets; Jetex / ExecuJet / DC at OMDW USD 2,500–6,500 depending on aircraft class. Get a quote for the specific trip — published rates are rarely what you pay.
Can I switch handlers mid-trip?
Yes — we coordinate FBO-to-FBO handovers for split trips (arrive Jetex, depart ExecuJet, etc.). This is more common than people think.
LFS handles your operation 24/7.
Send the trip — we acknowledge in under 60 minutes during working hours, immediately for AOG.
