Medical, Medevac & Humanitarian Missions

Missions that cannot wait for standard lead times, coordinated end to end.

Medevac and humanitarian flights compress a full trip-support workload into a few hours. Permits that normally take three working days must be raised as urgent, a handling agent has to accept an unplanned aircraft, an ambulance must be at the steps rather than at the terminal, and a receiving hospital must know the arrival time before wheels-up.

LFS runs these missions from the same 24/7 duty desk that handles scheduled trip support, with a named controller from first call to arrival. We raise urgent overflight and landing permits and press authorities directly where humanitarian priority applies, arrange ramp-side ambulance access, coordinate with the medical team on oxygen, power, stretcher loading and cabin configuration, and keep the receiving hospital and family contacts updated with revised timings.

Humanitarian and relief operations bring their own requirements: exemptions for restricted airspace, customs treatment for relief cargo, apron space for large aircraft at small fields, and repeated rotations into airports with limited fuel. We build a station brief for each field in the rotation, confirm fuel availability before each leg, and keep one operations picture across the whole cycle.

What LFS arranges

Ramp-side ambulance access and receiving-hospital coordination at both ends.
Medical logistics
Oxygen, power, stretcher loading and cabin readiness confirmed with the handling agent.
Relief operations
Restricted-airspace exemptions, relief-cargo customs and apron planning for rotations.
One controller
A named LFS duty controller owns the mission from first call to arrival.
Where we deliver it
Worldwide

At every airport, worldwide. LFS-operated stations are staffed by our own teams; everywhere else the service is delivered through agents we have vetted and audited, coordinated by the same LFS duty desk so you deal with one operations contact rather than a chain of suppliers.

Frequently asked
How fast can you support a medevac departure?
Trip files are opened immediately on call; permit turnaround depends on the authorities involved, and we escalate on humanitarian grounds where the state allows it.
Do you work with air ambulance operators directly?
Yes, and with hospitals, insurers and assistance companies arranging the transfer.
Can you support repeated relief rotations?
Yes. We hold a station brief and fuel picture for each field in the rotation and manage them as one operation.
